After he leaves, Adriana tries to retrieve a pair of wire cutters from a drawer, but she just can't get herself up onto her knees to reach. She becomes more and more frantic and frightened as time passes and she can't escape. Finally, to her horror, the door opens and her assailant returns, He is angry and warns her that she has only one more chance to tell him the truth. He assails Adriana more violently than before, demanding the correct code, shouting at her. Afraid, Adriana starts to cry as she gives up the real code. The man drags her over to an arm chair and uses another zip tie to secure her wrists to the base of the chair, making sure she doesn't go anywhere before he comes back.
