"Error of Judgment" & "Legally Binding" together
ERROR OF JUDGMENT
Sativa is an over-confident detective who plans to arrest a retired criminal name Corrighan, because she believes he has not retired at all and is still up to his old tricks. Before going into the house, Sativa calls her colleague Anna to notify her of her plans. Anna tells her to wait for backup, but Sativa is cocky and says she doesn't need help to take down a tired old man. Sativa enters the house through the basement and finds Corrighan seemingly asleep and virtually disabled, seated in a chair with a walking stick at his side. When she orders him to stand up because he is under arrest, the old man says he has chronic heart disease and is almost blind, so she will need to give him a minute. Suddenly, his stick jabs Sativa in the stomach, knocking her to the floor and sending her pistol flying from her hand. Corrighan is on her in a flash and now has the upper hand. Only then does Sativa realize that she has made a terrible error of judgment.

Sativa is a trainee para legal who is given the job of serving a subpoena to a man who has formerly refused
to appear in court. When she tries the hand over the document, however, the man draws a weapon on her and
forces her into the house. He makes Sativa lay down on the kitchen floor before he secures her wrists and
ankles with thick, double-loop zip ties. He goes away to find something with which to gag her, and in his absence
Sativa spots the house phone on the kitchen counter. She works her way over to the phone, planning to call for
help, but the man returns before she gets the chance and drags her back across the floor before gagging her with
a cloth. He also connects her wrists and ankles with a single zip tie, placing her in a hogtie and limiting her
range of movement. After a few minutes of struggling, Sativa manages to get the gag out of her mouth and begins
calling for the man to let her go, threatening him. When he comes back this time, he brings duct tape which he
sticks over her mouth, then uses the cloth to blindfold her to make sure she is completely immobilized. Now she
really is in big trouble.

to give him a minute. Suddenly, his stick jabs Sativa in the stomach, knocking her to the floor and sending her
pistol flying from her hand. Corrighan is on her in a flash and now has the upper hand. Only then does Sativa realize
that she has made a terrible error of judgment. The first thing Corrighan does is to make Sativa handcuff herself
with her arms wrapped around the kitchen table leg. He gags her and leaves the room. Sativa immediately works to
retrieve her cellphone which Corrighan has placed on the table above her. She succeeds in knocking it to the floor
and is just calling for help when Corrighan returns and catches her.
Corrighan forces Sativa down into the basement, her wrists already secured by yellow double zipties. He forces
her to sit on a chair and he sets about tying her to it. All the while Sativa oscillates between pleaded and insulting
him, until final he has had enough of listening to her bitching. She stuffs a cloth into her mouth and wraps layer
upon layer of duct tape across her face and around the back of her neck, silencing the mouthy cop. He tells his gagged
victim that because she has compromised his hideout he has no further use for it, and needs to get rid of it to conceal
all the evidence of his activities there. Corrighan sets a timer on a bomb, giving himself twenty minutes to get clear. He
takes the precaution of rigging up a thin, almost invisible trip wire to the detonator which he stretches across the
room in front of Sativa, just in case her colleagues should come looking for her before the bomb explodes. After
the old man has gone, Sativa struggles desperately to get free but there is no way out. She is almost out of time when
the door across the room opens and Anna enters, hurrying towards her to help her trapped colleague. Sativa frantically
tries to communicate the danger through her gag, but Anna does not understand her muffled cries and keeps coming...
with disastrous results.
