Melanie is being held prisoner in a house, kept tied up and gagged to ensure she does not escape. However, Melanie is not accepting her situation without a fight. She hops around the house looking for a phone she can use to summon help. She finds one, a land-line, and manages to key in the number for the police. Before she can say anything through her gag, however, her captor discovers what she is doing and takes the phone away. He makes Melanie hop back to where he left her, and warns her to behave herself. After he leaves her alone again, Melanie makes a second attempt to reach the phone and call for help, but now she is unable to plug the line into a phone line socket. Before she is discovered again, she makes her way back to the spot where she is supposed to be, and tries to think of an alternative escape plan.
