In contrast, recycled videos from years ago have sold quite well over the same period. It does encourage me to not produce much in the way of new content. Indeed, I should avoid making new content that is not the result of a custom.

There is another aspect to this but his Vonka' selling these days. I don't want to sound cruel here but i feel it's a good point to mention while we are on this. Would that video have sold more say if Jasmine' had done it food for thought.

On a sort of related note, would anyone be interested in splitting the cost of a Mura custom with me? Is splitting the cost of a custom even still allowed (@Dave)? An idea I've been considering is something along the lines of bringing back The Binder or The Binder's Apprentice type of story line. I've got more ideas fleshed out, but I don't want to dump them all here unless someone actually might be interested.

It's not cruel. I think it's mainly that you want to see Jasmine in everything. I have joked in the past that we should create a jasmine-st-james.com website which would probably satisfy all your needs

While Vonka is less of a looker than Jasmine, in my opinion, I also keep in mind that there are many different tastes out there, and I don't want to select models purely on the basis of what I might choose for myself. I was just surprised that a video containing on screen tying, several bondage positions and plenty of struggling attracted no interest. To be fair, things sell better on Clips4Sale, although even there, the numbers are not great for new videos, while spruced up old ones often sell better. I'm sure the greater variety of models from the past helps, but unfortunately, that's something I can no longer reproduce. For example, I have approached three models this year and not one has even responded. Times have changed.

Thanks i didn't mean it to sound to hard and slap me down anytime if i do go to far please. However i did think Vonka's[ outfit in the video looked great and that's important to me with the models what their wearing at the time. There was a recent Jasmine video posted which i totally ignored the self bondage handcuff one. Because i think this theme as been explored once to often and with Jasmine' For me it takes away the capture of the damsel herself if you get my drift.

Unfortunately, many people who order customs want to see the same thing again and again. Eventually, I have to draw a line or everything would look the same all the time.

Thanks for the list. It correlates fairly well with sales. Most people want to see rope bondage rather than handcuffs. My handcuffs store on C4S gets about 10% of the traffic of the Beauties in Bondage store. I keep it going for those who want it, but it isn't really worthwhile.

The Vonka/Lee video sold badly. My guess is that most people want a DiD-style video rather than a playful one. It was also too long.

Jasmine's videos used to sell a lot better (3-4 times better) when she was working with Rick because you had the damsel and the bad guy on screen together, similar in age, interacting/fighting/tormenting, etc. It was an ideal combination. And no, they can't work together again. Most of the time it's just me playing the role now, and that no longer works well. For me personally, it's better to film Bound2Burst content which doesn't usually need me on camera, or if I am visible it's only in a brief, peripheral role. Mostly, I am the disembodied voice. A recent desperation video I made with Jasmine just beat the all time record for sales of a single-model movie in its first month, so the format still works there. Bondage work is much harder and sells far less, so I tend to shy away from it a bit these days. I have no more bad guys to call on, alas.

Mostly, the models are dressed according to what the buyer wants when it's a custom project. That usually involves less clothing, or none at all. Now, this is just me because I'm old and a bit prudish I suppose, but I just want to dress the girls in attractive clothes that suit them, and which are also age appropriate. I cringe when someone asks for an older model to wear next to nothing; to me, it just looks cheap. I also feel that, with bondage, a smartly dressed woman has more at stake if she is kidnapped, rather than someone dressed like they belong on a street corner. It doesn't carry the same weight. So, yeah, I lean more towards "classic" bondage. The top 20 on C4S in the bondage category is all nudity or skirt hems right up the arse, and often includes sex now. It doesn't interest me in the slightest, and I almost never buy anyone else's work.

I agree with you on the sex and nudity with other producers! That is one main reason I have stayed with you for so long. I like sexy but nudity and sex of any kind just does not do it for me!

I do miss the Jasmine and Rick partnership they did tend to get a bit raunchy together if that's the right word to use but it worked on screen. While i know this will never happen again the recent Jasmine' videos particularly the one with Mura have been excellent. The recent video where we just had her on the bed i would have liked a capture scene to set that up but hey it's a minor moan with me.
