So how successful is it, really?

When you take a look at Clips4Sale, you may notice that their most recent stores are numbered up in the 221,000s. The most recent I was able to find at the time of writing is 221,729. They always brag about the number of studios (stores), and you might be forgiven for thinking they must make a fortune from all these producers. Well, they do make a fortune, but not because they have hundreds of thousands of producers working for them.
I'm going to share a little data with you. I have a total of 8 stores on Clips4Sale, three of which do well enough to warrant regular attention from me. The projects I launched years ago that never really took off (foot fetish and voluntary stripping, for example) make a few sales per month, but never enough to get me excited about updating them anymore. Below are data from four of them.
Store #
43378 $10.18 Studio Global Rank # 8323
26160 $11.38 Studio Global Rank # 7262
41292 $7.79 Studio Global Rank # 6925
19267 $32.91 Studio Global Rank # 5603
The balances shown are what has been generated so far this month, and they are only ranked if a sale was made during the preceding 7 days. Now look at the global ranking for each one, meaning its position in terms of sales compared to the 221,000+ other studios. My lowest ranking studio stands at 8,323 and it has only made about $10 so far this month. Still, it has made more than the remaining 213,406 studios ranked below it. In other words, the vast majority of studios on C4S generate nothing to almost nothing. Most of the income arises from the top 500 stores, and the most significant sums are from the top 50.
Please don't share this on social media. I'm not trying to rub rhubarb over at C4S, only to show that statistics can be very misleading.
