MAY I COMPLAIN, PLEASE?

Post by adivie »

It is not just here but with just about every other producer I visit, there is the same story that Clips4Sale (C4S) is imposing more draconian rules on videos, especially in the Bondage category, that it is almost impossible to produce a decent bondage video for their site. I get that Pornhub allowed child porn and actual rape porn to slip onto its website. Now, everybody is getting punished. Punish Pornhub for their misdeeds. However, allow the rest of the industry to properly regulate themselves instead of letting the banks impose the rules.

Some of the rules, as I have heard and read them, for C4S go as follows:

1. The victim of the bondage cannot be shown to be in distress

2. No knockout or unconscious victims may be shown. Therefore, no chloroform scenes are allowed.

3. No weapons may be shown or implied. This includes guns, knives, martial arts weapons, etc.

4. No threats may be stated to the victim.

5. No mention of rape may be mentioned. (I actually like that one)

6. No human trafficking may be involved.

7. No pets or animals are allowed to be shown in the videos

I state this as I was watching a show on TV, sponsored by a credit card company, where a woman was kidnapped, shown on video crying as her captor threatened her, and then repeatedly raped by him, according to court testimony. They will sponsor this program but say independent producers have to be Church-going Boy Scouts? Soon, the only bondage videos we will be able to commission will be tie-up challenges.

I like a good story with my video. I know I am not purchasing a movie that had several million dollars to spend on production. However, many producers have excellent stories to be told if only the restrictions were not in place.

It also limits myself on my creativity when I come up with what I believe is a good story. It is one thing to have rejected because does not fit the producer's or actors' standards. I can adjust or fall back on that restriction. However, to be told it is because sites like C4S think they are too violent or pornographic when they sponsor worse content on TV. Now, I am yelling "HYPOCROSY!"

Thank You for your time.
